Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your products made? 2017-03-15T17:45:20+00:00

Our products are designed in a collaboration between our US office and our business partner in Belgium. Production is done by factories all over the world, which we trust to deliver products that are up to the Kogel standard. We currently use manufacturers from USA, China and Belgium.

Do the pros use your products? 2017-03-15T17:44:01+00:00

We have been a proud sponsor of the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling team since late 2014. The professional mens and womens team, riding 160 bikes, accumulated 600.000km of tracked use in their first season. It is close to impossible to run a product test of this magnitude in a lab environment.

Besides that, we sponsor professional CyclocrossMountain BikeGravelTriathlon and Fixed Gear racers. All of their combined feedback is used to improve our products. We will keep you updated on rider stories via our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Will you sponsor me? 2017-03-15T17:57:19+00:00

We would love to! Please understand that sponsorship is a business transaction. Before giving you free product, we want to see what you will do to promote Kogel Bearings and drive our sales or marketing. Race results and putting our logo on your web site or jersey does not make the cut, unless your last name is Froome or Schurter. If you see other ways to promote Kogel Bearings, we will be the first to listen. Please send in your proposal at any time. Have a look at this blog post if you want to learn more about sponsorship opportunities at Kogel Bearings.

How do I stay updated on new developments and specials? 2017-03-15T18:00:07+00:00

The best way to stay connected with Kogel Bearings is through our social media and newsletter. You will find us on Facebook and Instagram via the buttons on the front page of our web site. Please sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of the front page to receive the latest information and seasonal specials.

Which article should I buy? 2017-04-06T12:27:55+00:00

The first step is to download our product catalogue from the manuals section of our web site. This is a matrix that will help you select the bottom bracket that fits your particular frame and crank. From there, just select a bearing type (road or cross) and you are good to go.

Wheel bearings are a complicated matter. Between all the manufacturers there are simply too many hubs, configurations and in-season changes for us to put it online and keep it accurate. We have made things simple with a flat fee pricing for 4 bearings (front and rear hub) or 6 bearings (front, rear and freehub). Contact us with your hub or wheel brand, type and model year. There is a good chance we know which bearing sizes you need. If not, we will figure it out with you and/or your dealer.

If you have any questions, or can’t find what you are looking for, please contact us at any time at info@rsquaredindustries.co.uk. We will get back to you within 24 hours.

Is there a warranty on your products? 2017-03-15T17:52:42+00:00

All Kogel ceramic bearings are backed by a 1+1 year guarantee against manufacturing defects. Our return rates are low, for that reason we tend to be flexible when it comes to granting warranties. We judge all requests on a case by case basis.

The first year, your products are covered by our ‘very few questions asked policy’. If products have not been mistreated, we will replace any failed products. After the first year, the bearings need to be serviced by a qualified mechanic. This includes cleaning the bearings, regreasing them with Kogel’s Low Friction Grease and replacing the seals. We can execute this service for you, or recommend a shop local to you that we trust.

I found a cheaper product, why should I buy Kogel Bearings? 2017-03-15T17:54:29+00:00

Quality at an honest price is our absolute priority.  Kogel makes the highest quality products, but keeps in mind that we still need to find a market size large enough to sell our products. We will never make compromises on quality to compete with lower priced competitor products.
