It’s been a busy summer at R Squared HQ as we continue our partnership with TSUBASA Bicycles. On the 3rd of August, we officially launched our partnership with TSUBASA Bicycles and Skunkworks Bikes in Australia.

Rapha Cycle Club Launch

We were honoured to be able to host an exclusive evening for 50 guests at the Rapha Cycle Club Sydney, where Ed Vavilovas owner of TSUBASA Bicycles was able to showcase his wonderful bikes. On show were several versions of his beautiful Crow and his prototype K21 track bike.

Following the event, over 3 wonderfully sunny Sydney days, two versions of the TSUBASA Crow were available for demo to a few lucky riders who had attended the evening event. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, “So smooth” , ”I can’t believe how fast it was” and comments on the exceptional and unique finish which is the trade mark of Ed’s frames.

In a few short days, the interest has been immense, and build dates are already beginning to be snapped up. We’re working on a UK launch soon so stay tuned for details as and when we get this finalised. If you do fancy a demo or a look at TSUBASA Bicycles close up then get in touch.

Many thanks to RCC Sydney and Skunkworks Bikes for putting on this amazing event.

The Crow

The TSUBASA Crow is an incredibly light road racing machine! The geometry, the handling, head tube and bottom bracket standards are all customisable. Oversized tubes for stiffness, Pressfit 30 BB threaded, straight or tapered head tube, for unbeatable handling quality. All of this has been topped off with HM, 70/30 fibre to resin ratio to increase power transfer and maximise performance without an increase in weight. The pictured bike weighs in at an incredible 5.7kg.

The Crow has a raw finish, with no clear coat, instead it has UV and chemical resistant resin. This technique saves on “appearance weight”, while keeping the frame’s structural integrity – nothing unnecessary, only pure performance is preserved.
